Brisbane Transport operates one of Australia\'s largest public transport organisations. We are Brisbane\'s major provider of public transport with over 1100 buses, which will carry over eighty million passengers this year. 

The Manager, Engineering and Asset Management is responsible for ensuring that Brisbane Transport maximises reliability and availability of its fleet while minimising the cost of doing so. This will be achieved by:

• taking a strategic view of the future fleet and facilities
• managing the asset base
• project management of a diverse range of projects such as the City Glider
• developing and maintaining strong partnerships and alliances with major players in the industry
• being part of the senior leadership team
• managing a team of five direct and thirty indirect staff
• maintaining a focus on safety and customer service
• influencing and negotiating both with internal and external parties to achieve best outcomes.

The Manager, Engineering and Asset Management will have the opportunity to work in a high profile, strategic and operational role in a fast paced, responsive business. They will have:

• a background in large-scale logistics, transport or manufacturing sectors
• demonstrable experience of successfully working with senior management and political stakeholders
• strong influencing and negotiation skills
• proven ability to communicate at all levels of an organisation, including the CEO and bus drivers
• well developed leaderships skills
• a strong commitment to safety and customer service
• the ability to challenge decisions and the status quo effectively.

As a senior appointment within Council the Manager Engineering and Asset Management will receive an executive salary and benefits package.
