Accounts Receivable Officer
Our Client based in the Brisbane CBD is currently seeking a switched on, energetic and experienced Accounts Recievable Officer to join their team. This role will be working in a newly established agency, which has been put in place to improve the quality and safety of Australia\'s health services thr ough a modernised national regulatory system for health professionals.
The position would report to the Senior Finance Officer and will be responsible for all Accounts Receivable functions within Queensland and ensure that cheques, money orders and cash are banked daily or within 24 hours of receipt. You will aslo be responsible for Ensuring that unbanked cheques and money orders are safely secured in the office safe and will perform daily reconciliation of banking.

- Follow up on outstanding debtors and ensure that the debtors days are within parameters
- Advise higher management of issues as they arise and hand over client to debt collections once approval is obtained
- Create and maintain debtor information
- Processing debtor receipts and ensure payments correctly applied in the general ledger
- Processing customer refunds
- Adhoc duties as required
To apply for his role you must have the following skills/experience:
- Application of sound accounting principles
- Good working knowledge of Great Plains Accounting package is preferred but not essential
- Good Microsoft software skills and in particular Excel.
- A qualification in a relevant accounting discipline from a recognised Australian tertiary institution
- At least 2 years experience in the use of Financial Accounting programs
- Meticulous attention to detail
- High level of computer literacy
