CYCLONE Ului has ripped roofs off scores of homes, driven boats ashore and cut power to thousands of houses in Queensland.Winds of up to 200km/h slammed into the Whitsundays, where it sucked air-conditioners out of walls, then stormed across the coast at Airlie Beach about 1.30am yesterday.Miraculously there were no reports of injuries although the State Emergency Service received more than 750 calls for help.Queensland Premier Anna Bligh, about to tour the affected region, said it seemed to have escaped catastrophic damage.
